We also organise the world's longest running model railway show, held each year in Manchester City Centre .

We extend a warm welcome to all railway modellers and railway enthusiasts. Our clubrooms are home to six layouts in most of the popular scales, one is fully complete, three are largely complete, and two are in progress including a brand new one which is in the early stages of construction. Manchester Rock Academy - Thursdays at Sale High School, Norris Road
Sale High school is hosting a new after-school music club run by Manchester Rock Academy. Parents and children are invited to meet the tutors, try out instruments and field their questions in their first session which is always free of charge.

The academy will be holding regular group lessons every Thursday 5pm – 6.30pm at Sale High School, Norris Road, where they will give tuition in guitar, bass guitar and drums to children aged 11-16, with a focus on beginners and intermediate players.

Students are spend half the session in instrument groups with a specialised tutor. The second half is the exciting part. All the groups come together to perform what they have learnt in bands. Band work isn't just fun and rewarding. It builds a level of musical ability that cannot be achieved through private lessons alone.

Guy Earnshaw, bass guitar tutor and founder of the academy, said: "An after-school music club is a brilliant way for the kids to make friends and learn something productive. And an end of year concert is an amazing experience for both students and parents. I can't wait to meet some local residents and show them what we've got on offer this year."
